Human trafficking is one of the most widespread and devastating human rights violations in the world today. It is not just a distant problem; it happens in cities, suburbs, and rural communities across the United States. Traffickers exploit vulnerability, using force, fraud, or coercion to control people for labor or commercial sex. Survivors may be children, teens, or adults. Many are deceived with false promises of love, safety, or opportunity and then trapped in dangerous, degrading conditions.
